Cocoa Beach 1,000 Islands: In Search of Wildlife (Capt. Mike Arnold)

"Previous neighbors were in town visiting for a few days. We are senior citizens and wanted something easy and yet informative that befits the area. We began our adventure with a nice leisurely lunch at the Sunset Grill while seated in the open-air patio area overlooking the water before the tour. The seafood and lunch was outstanding. We then took the 2PM Eco Tour. It was a beautiful day, the scenery was wonderful and the guides were knowledgeable and provided lots of humor to go with the narration. We saw many different species of birds,... small and large; experienced many dolphins at play right next to our boat; saw several manatees, and learned many new facts about the estuary that we had not previously known. The plants and trees were varied and numerous and we learned of their importance to the fragile ecological balance of the area. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it to all ages."  READ MORE REVIEWS...

Island Boat Lines offers numerous tours from various locations on the Space Coast. These tours can be customized to meet your group's needs. Our US Coast Guard approved vessels carry up to 49 passengers and offer a safe and comfortable environment for all adventurers.

The Thousand Islands are a flood tide delta deposit, formed in the past by a breach in the barrier island by a strong storm surge. This natural occurrence created a maze of narrow trails & canals through the natural mangrove islands and hidden hammocks.

The spectacular canals through the Thousand Islands provide shelter to herds of Manatee, playful Bottle-Nose Dolphin and a variety of coastal birds. Some of the birds passengers may observe while on this tour are Reddish Egret, Wood Stork, Rosette Spoonbill, Brown and White Pelican, Bald Eagle, nesting Osprey, Great Blue Heron feeding their young, Tri-Colored & Black-Crowned Night Heron, Snowy Egrets, White Ibis,Terns and Coots.

Cocoa Beach Thousand Islands are to be found in the Indian River Lagoon. The Indian River Lagoon Estuary is known as one of the world's most diverse Eco-systems.

Parade of Homes... You will also see how the locals live who have taken up residence along the Thousand Islands canals. Enjoy moving about the boat throughout the cruise. The Captain and crew will provide narration and answer any questions you may have along your journey.
